JUAN BEZARES SUSIN

Juan is a founding partner of Tribeca Abogados, where he practises in the area of corporate and commercial law. He specialises in M&A, commercial contracts, private equity and corporate restructurings. With over 25 years' experience advising large and mid-market companies, investment funds, startups and venture capital firms on both domestic and cross-border corporate matters, he leads international teams on acquisitions and disposals, funding rounds, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. He combines his professional practice with teaching at ISDE and IE University (Instituto de Empresa), and sits on the board of INCARI.
In addition to his transactional practice, he serves as non-member secretary to the board of directors of several companies, contributing his corporate and commercial perspective to their decision-making.
He has been recognised by Lexology Index in Private Equity since 2021, within its Private Funds – Formation (Global Guide) report, and received the Client Choice Award 2025. Recognised by Best Lawyers in 2026. The Corporate and M&A practice has also been recognised by Legal 500 EMEA since 2021 and by Best Law Firms in 2025, and the firm has been included by Chambers and Partners in its European Guide 2026 in the General Business Law: Regions category. He is valued for his technical rigour, precision in analysis, his ability to resolve complex matters and his negotiation skills.
He holds a Law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s in Corporate Legal Advice from the Instituto de Empresa.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto de Capital Riesgo (INCARI). He teaches on the Master’s in International Law and the Master’s in Business Law, Contracts and International Relations, both at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE), as well as on the advanced online Private Equity Master’s programme at INCARI. He is a lecturer at IE University and has authored articles in his field of expertise.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a corporate lawyer at KPMG Abogados.
